Achievement
Since its establishment, EMRDA has been implementing comprehensive development programs particularly in the remote part of the country and contributed to an estimated of 6 million needy and vulnerable Ethiopians to become self-reliant and self-supportive.

Education: 31 ABE Centers and 3 primary formal schools were constructed in Afar and Oromia including one community skill training school which gave access to 57, 000 out of school children and adults.

Orphan and Vulnerable Children (OVC): 15,000 Orphan and Vulnerable Children have been supported with school materials, psycho- social support, clothes and food which helped them to actively lead their lives.

Community skills training (VT) So far, one community skill training school is constructed and it has a capacity of training 300 unemployed communities per year. EMRDA has been providing internship vocational training (metal and wood work swinging and embroidery) within the locality for about 520 beneficiaries.

Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH/HIV/AIDS ) prevention (Youth focused ) EMRDA has been carrying out program on SRH, HIV/AIDS and Harmful Traditional Practice being the main components and has addressed about 6 million beneficiaries in the intervention areas..
- Youth: 50 youth clubs have been established and 19 youth centers were constructed. About 12,500 youth benefited from the capacity building packages within the organization’s program.

Women Empowerment: 540 women groups (15000 active) were assisted from the program, hence they were provided with different trainings and capacity building packages which empowered them to decide in the internal and external needs to gender equities.
- Community-based organizations (CBOs) capacity building: EMRDA are designed to address the problems facing the communities’ within their locality traditionally organized Jemeiyas (Ider) with the objectives of funeral (memorial service) ministering development issues like saving credit, OVC support, contribution and participation in local social economic actives, formation of district Jemeiyas Unions and Community Conversation Sessions (CCS). In these regard EMRDA has been capacitated over 1000 Jemeiyas and 1500 CCSs in 7 Region and 72 districts these about 900,000 Muslim communities.

Income generating activities (IGA): 1695 PLHA and guardians (beneficiaries) were trained and provided with seed money to be involved in different income generating activities like restocking of shoats, small enterprise activities and crop production through ministering with its program activities which improved has livelihood poor community.
- Small-scale water development ( WaSH): About 40,000 people in Oromia region got access to safe drinking water from 20 hand dug Wales. On this experience EMRDA has planned to intervene in to WASH (water and sanitation) country’s program.
- Relief: 120,000 people have been benefited from EMRDA’s emergency and seasonal relief program which has been supported by IDB and Muslim Aid.UK
