  • It has large constituency at grassroots level especially in the pastoral and remote areas of the rural community,
  • There is trust between the communities and the organization
  • It is cost effective in reaching the community as religious leaders teach the society while praying.
  • The religious leaders who are working with EMRDA are highly accepted among the community.
  • It has good relations with the government and donors.
  • It is well experienced in implementing the development interventions so that it has a capacity to prepare any type of project proposals.

 EMRDA’s major opportunities for growth:

  •  The contemporary global campaign on poverty reduction particularly in rural and pastoral development such as the MDG.
  • The government’s rural-centered development plan;
  • Large domain of the grass root community represented by Project Advisory Committee (PAC) and Community Management Committee (CMC) of various EMRDA’s interventions;
  • Good-will developed with various international & National partner organizations and individuals through holiday and other special occasion disclosing organizational good wishes;
